one a range rover i would not say no
:y

I can agree with you there,it looks more like a SuV than a real 4x4.
-
Saw one today in a Vx dealership, think they might have been traders, they had a 'look' about them.... :D :D
-
You talking Evoque or the new/not yet released Defender replacement?
-
i was talking Evoque

I'll second that

Worth a drive though. Well put together, quiet, handles well for what it is and responsive. Make sure you drive the pukka 4x4 and not a 2 wheel drive one though. Petrol version is also quite peppy..... :y

2wd Freelanders as well as Evoques.
Same chassis/underpinnings....

i drove the old range rover around the v reg as i always wanted one and had a chance from new but went for the discovery in the end loved that very nice to drive i though but in manual auto diesel was not very good
no idea how the new range rovers drive but big improvement i would guess one day maybe i will get a chance to see

New Disco auto is really quite a good drive. Autobox is either auto or flappy paddle option. Goes well for 3 tonne diesels... ;D
-
yes would imagine they are but the disco also taken a gigantic leap up in price from when i got mine sort of gone from high mid range to exec taking it so much closer to the cost of a range rover
the only reason i got it was i needed 6 seats and it was much more fun than a people carrier but same price. dont think you would get much change from £30k

Cheapest Disco is circa £38k ......

It looks like it's been chopped too much, and needs the body sectioning to get the body to glass proportions back.
And that would mean we've just reinvented the 3/5 door hatchback!
I'd rather have a proper Freelander.

Saw a white one locally last Saturday & I liked it :y :y

True! Explains why I see so many of them (saw another brand new Evoque - in white, of course, did they come in any other colour?) in Ascot.. ;D
-
Yep. Don't forget the artificial designer mud. Slip the Kosovans and extra couple of quid and they'll apply it after each wash and wax. :y

They do drive very nicely indeed with good performance but heavy on Derv though, well the 2.7 is,don't know about the new 3.0 version

Saw one close up today on one of those "win a car for £20
cons stands in a shopping centre, & really can't see the point.
I had a p36 RR for a while, and aside from the 14mpg & the constant excitement of "what's going to fail today," i really liked it.
As with an elite mig, all the toys are lovely, but the biggest advantage of a RR/LR is the height. I drive a sprinter often, and still don't like the lack of view when I get in my car afterwards...so as this was one of the major reasons for buying the RR in the first place, I see absolutely no point in the evoque at all as it's no better view that anything else on the road!
Oh, and yes, it looks like sh....... ;)
