I'm after an estate roof aerial base and genuine VX whip aerial to match ... must be amplified and have the multiplug intact. The rubber seals on the base can rot a bit, so a decent one would be preferable.

Anyone help?

I believe RobG and Twiglet were breaking up an Estate, maybe worth a PM to them?

Sorry mate, I've had 2 of these now, but have sold both. They don't come up very often I'm afraid, so I suspect a degree of patience will be required. :y

If you have a spoiler on the tailgate you'll have to make sure you get the steeper angled base .
The shallow angled one will make contact with the spoiler when the tailgate is opened scraping the paint in no time. :y

Are there two different bases then good job I read that then as I want to fit a spoiler when I find one :y

Just to clear this up, in order to change the angle of the ariel so to clear the spoiler, you would use an adapter (such as the prodrive ball). This screws into the base, and the ariel in turn screws into this. The base itself remains unchanged.
However, if you are sourcing a base for your own car, you need to check the connections above the load area light. There are 2 different tyres. Earlier cars (upto approx. 2001) have individual coax type connectors, whereas latter cars have 1 blue plastic multiplug, which contains all connections.
HTH :y

Having experimented with a 'shark fin' type aerial (and bodged the plugs on the original one in the process) I'm going to ditch this and go back to the original spec aerial, but move it about 10 cm further forward to ensure that it doesn't foul the spoiler when the tailgate is open. ;)

Just to clarify then this is for a 2003 car with the later multi-plug :)

Do you have sat nav on your estate? If not i may have one here for you. ??? If you do it took me 6 mths to find one

Hi - thanks for your reply
No, no sat nav in my CDX, although the multi plug has two identical aerial sockets - I presumed the other one was for the mobile phone aerial?
-
Do they all have a mobile phone ariel jack then or just the ones that came with the phones (CCR700) ?
