Thats pretty bad!.....but never been a fan of minis sadly
-
That car has 'buy me big boy' stamped all over it.
Can just imagine you hunched over the miniscule steering wheel giving it handfulls round you local roundabout.... ;D
-
I like the Mini but that is not to my taste, yuc yuc yuc......... :D :D :D

Oh yeah. Lifting the inside rear wheel with you behind me flicking the blues. "Just a couple of questions sir." ::)
-
Have you seen the "smeggy" hand in one of the pic's. He must be a left handed one :D
God knows what the seats and carpets must be like :D :D :D ;D

There's a yellow one for sale near me that looks quite neat; http://www.chequers-cars.co.uk/used-cars/rover-mini-mayfair-2dr-windlesham-201151437564910
But not at seven grand! :o

That's the problem with the Mini, there are loads around but even the basic ones are so over priced...........for £7k you could build a new one.... :y :y and buy an identity of ebay for £150........ :-X :-X
-
I wouldn't know what you're implying, I'm sure.. ;) ;D
At half the price I could be half tempted - although I'd feel a plonker going to look at it.. I can't imagine fitting into one anymore :(
The same dealer had a white Mk1 MX5 "one lady owner" for £3500 - he likes to price high, clearly (although to be fair that one did look spotless and unmolested)
-
Good grief! What was he
thinking smoking? ;D
Not a fan of Minis either. They were the usual BL "let's cobble together a car from bits from the parts bin, then let the bean counters ruin it some more" job way back when they were conceived and they haven't got any better with age, IMHO.
Now, a Mk1 MX would be a fun car to play with but not for that money.
-
Got too admit I would love to have one to play with again :)
For not much money, you can turn them into a bloody quick car :y
As for the handling, best way I can discribe it is a gocart with a roof on ;D

The mini is a young person car, these people dont no what a good car is like
As long as it is a new car thats all that matters
Has people on this forum seen the Nissan juke what a ugly car, there must make these for the blind people
I think today car manufactuars make cars as a fashion accessery targeted at young people
any comments on this.

Yep. With you on that horrible Junk thing. Finally, something that makes the Fiat Multipla look pretty. :o
I can't think of a new car (within reason) that I'd want these days.

PMSL. That was actually a genuine typing error. Freudian slip?

What a way to ruin a perfectly good car. I doubt it's worth more than pocket change in that state TBH, although if it were unmolested it would be fetch the £2k BIN any day, even with some rot ;)
I'm looking forward to getting our mini into the unit so I can start stripping it down. It needs a little work (possibly a huge understatement :o) but when I'm finished I plan to have what is pretty much a brand spanking car to play with and eventually sell on. I reckon the re-build will set me in at under £3k total, including some labour charges where needed, and wouldn't be selling it for any less than about £5k when done, hopefully more as the market for decent, unmolested Mini Cooper S cars is getting stronger every day :y
We'll see what happens but I hope to be able to document the re-build when I do it :y

Well... SWMBO has, but what's hers is mine ::) ::) Until I've finished rebuilding it when I expect it will become hers again :-X ::)
Yep, a 1993 Mini Cooper S with a 1380 Hi-Torque engine as the previous owner had the engine rebuilt about 5k before it came off the road ;) I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into it and hope I'll be able to soon

Why is the Mini a young persons car?
I think that Only the Range Rover has taken over from the Mini as a fashion accessory, in the 60' anyone who was anyone had a Mini - young and old, the Mini crossed over all class boundaries....... :y :y :y
Sorry to disagree with you..... :D :D
-
Yep, that's definately 'Unique' alright, & thank God for that!!!! ;D
-
Nissan have made a spelling mistake with the Juke. It should have been an "O" not the "U" in the name

Selling very well though.........

Past my test in a minivan with a long wobbly gear stick
Then went on to drive a Standard Atlas van
I used to change gear with the stick cradled in my left elbow
Minis blew our minds and busted the Continentals minds to Hell
The Transverse layout was an absolute revolution
Ah those were the the days :y :y
