So is this why we where pedal testing, looking for codes?

Sounds a bit crank sensor to me.

Nope, ignore me, wrong member similar name.
Does sound like crank sensor though, have you checked for codes via paper clip test?

Crank sensor replaced with genuine ? and if so you might need to check its the correct one as there are different types and they get mixed up at the dealers somtimes. ;)

well done on sorting problem  :y erm if you have  :-\ the symptoms you described does sound like a failing crank sensor which sometimes will not throw up codes on the pedal/paperclip test, if it is cranksensor it could give up on you at any time, probally in the most unconvienient place going  >:(
if i was you i would source a genuine cranksensor and keep it in your boot "just in case"  :y
