Title: Key Fob Repairable??
Post by: Green Saloon on 04 March 2012, 12:04:03
I've noticed my key fob playing up recently - can't open the doors with it or even lock them now!
Are the fobs repairable?
I've taken one of mine apart (photo below) it seems the little button piece has fallen off!!
The one that locks the doors is still attached but doesn't work. Only the boot opening one does. The little red light works as well.
Any help/advice would be most appreciated.
Ta very much.

Martin Imber was the man, but I've not seen him on the forum for a while. I trust he is OK

Yeah, easily repairable.  Had to do all my facelift fobs on both facelifts I've owned.

Repaired my own successfully with bits off fleabay for the same fault.
If you are not sure then as said Martin will do the job cheaply and you will have it back by return of post.
