Title: Newbie question: Why is my 2000 MV6 half facelift half not?
Post by: pigalot on 09 March 2012, 22:57:01
Externally, my MV6 is a facelift as far as I can see - it has xenons on dip, steering wheel control of radio etc

On the other hand, it's a 3.0 rather than a 3.2 and it's dated 2000 - both attirbutes which as I understand mean it should be before facelift.

I assume there's a simple explanation which is why I've prefaced this with newbie question! But what's going on?

You have a facelift, if, the window buttons are on the door.

It does not matter which engine you have!

Indeed - was 'round someones house last night (to look at a kit car) and he has a 3.0 facelift on a Y plate which, interior and engine aside is identical to mine; even down to the colour. The coincidence amused me greatly - spent almost as much time talking Omegas as we did V8s.. ;D

i have a face lift motor with a 3.0 ltr motor.

as usual you get a mix and match parts wise.

recently my power steer pump (first port of call according to here) gave up the ghost.

vauxhall update kit with pipes and mods £650.

luckily managed to get the pump which was fitted, re modded. (pulley flange differences)

Oh don't say things like that. I'm going to look at a face lift 3lt tomorrow. Wonder what's different with the pumps?
