Title: 3.2 v6 hard to start.... cranking fine but very lazy to fire
Post by: Omega6pot on 11 March 2012, 13:10:34
Hi, having some issues with my 3.2, it is getting very hard to start now with a general reluctance to fire especially when cold. Its as if the fuel is running away from the engine and its taking a period of time to get back when you are cranking it.Some times she will start and then instantly quit,  Once she starts it runs very well and when she is hot it will start again no problem. However if left for more than 30 mins the laziness is back. Car has had new coil packs fitted recently and new genuine plugs. Was wondering if it was the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump in the boot? Any help would be appreciated.

P.s its not the head gasket, she is losing no water and never boils

Al

Do the pedal trick and check for fault codes.Could be crank sensor on the way out. Wouldnt be head gasket in any case, its unheard of for a 3.2 to give H/G trouble. ;)
