Title: Auto dimming rear view mirror and dark tinting ?
Post by: omegafin on 13 March 2012, 15:57:47
I have heard that if you have dark tinted windows automatic dimmig mirror won't work anymore.
Is that true and if it is , how dark tinting can be when dimmimg still works ?
Is there any way to fool the mirror to dim or make manual dimming switch ?

think its that silver tint that will do that but standard tin is ok...

If the rear window is tinted enough to affect the mirror, you probably won't need autodimming?

Any level of tint will reduce the functionality of the mirror's tinting

Have a 3.0 Elite with rear tints (not my choice) auto dim still works.
