Title: engine running rough
Post by: Sparks on 16 March 2012, 20:28:24
HELP. I am having problems with my 2.2 51 plate omega saloon. When i accelarate smoothly the car runs ok and can do 70mph cruising on the motorway no problem but when the accelarator pedal is pushed to the floor or used aggresively the car coughs and farts and on some occasions i have to stop and turn off the engine and on restarting it runs ok so long as the padal is used gently. the car has only done 85,000 miles and I have had it for quite a number of years. This site has been a great help in the past and I hope some one can help me. regards, keith.

They were sat in oil for about a month. they had been arcing for a while so changed the rubber covers etc as per instructions on this site. the plugs are about 2years old and have done about 15,000 miles. Occasionaly the engine warning light comes on. Not the one with the spanner the other one but it then goes off after about a day. regards, keith.

Yes and the big one to the left of the engine looking from the front I would say was completely blocked but we cleaned it all out. Regards, Keith.
