Is there a guide for doing this? ( I'm sure I've seen one in the past ) I've looked but can't see one.
If not am I correct in thinking its a simple job of removing cam belt and bottom pulley/toothed gear, removing old seal and replace. Am I also correct in thinking I've read you should turn around the spacer.
Any advice/pointers welcome

To be honest I'd say that it is quite simple. ::)
I do have all the tools and a workshop at my disposal though and I'm quite competent with engines (just never done a crank seal on this engine before).

Agree with your brief synopsis! ;) ;) ;) ;) I think Mark suggests turning the sleeve around just because you can & because you're already there! Just see how much of a wear mark there is on it. :y :y
Hardest part is normally holding the crank still enough for you to undo the crank bolt.
