Title: You NEVER stop being a parent.
Post by: Amigo on 18 March 2012, 19:06:24
Got a phone call from no.1 son. He finished his door shift lastnight...or this morning & went on for drinks etc. so left the car (my MX5) Came back to collect it & it's been clamped....

No prizes for guessing who has to pay the £130 release fee?????? ::)

A friend of mine had a son in his early 40's still living at home. When he used to moan that he had to do this, do that for him. I told him not to worry the first 65 years with your children are the worst, it is mean't to get better after that.  ::) ::) ;D ;D

Still now his son has got married and moved to another part of the country, all the way to a mobile home in his back garden.  :o :o ;D ;D

Or like paying for Master Vamps car and waiting for repayment, he told me that he had a Grand Plan, he was saving up to pay me £1k on each occasion, apparently my next payment will be on Thursday.... then 4 more to go.... :D :D :D

When I said I'd sort his account out for him, Alex initially said 'No' ....... he wanted to sort it out for himself. So I suggested I'd 'loan' him the money instead then, he agreed.  :y As it turned out, I knew the girl in the bank - coincidently she'd child minded Alex 20 yrs ago - and she managed to write off £90 of his debt which Alex said I could have sooner rather than later. I'm still waiting ... but not holding my breath  ::)  ::)  ::)

We're due a Dad visit to sussex in april. Looking forward to seeing him, my younger sister & my two nieces...all very nice but i've told him it is a loan. The fact he could phone me & save Roary the racing car being lifted off to some scruffy compound accumulating charges after the repaint, new mohair hood & twin exit s/s exhaust is enough of a favour. He needs the car for work & he WILL pay me back!

I told him to get a reciept. Not only was the paint new but the alloys were all refurbed as well.

God help them if they scratched anything!!!
