Well the deisel Omega's engine died a few weeks ago now my pride and joy has too. A woman on her oppsing mobile phone pulled out on me on a roundabout, Tried to avoid her but my back wheel hit the kerb and it launched me into the crash barrier and she just drove off!
Words cannot describe how uspet I am.

Gutted for you.She is such a gorgeous car :'(

I know it doesn't help now with how you're feeling, but least you managed to get out of it alive.
-
I´m sorry for the accident :(
-
Genuinely gutted for you mate ;)
-
Geez , glad your ok ....thats a nasty smack to the mig :'(
-
Gutted for you!
It's obvious alot of blood sweat and tears have gone into that car ( not to mention the money) and for someone to almost destroy it by one stupid careless act is infuriating!
I'm sure it low on your priority list at the time but did you get her reg number?
-
lets hope the person that caused it gets whats coming to them karma and all that mate, rebuild her or build another at least you walked away from it
-
Oh mate, I'm so sorry.
-
i can only but cry.
-
sorry to see that :(
although costly, it can be repaired .. and I cant see any serious damage on chasis..

No. only saw the side then obviously was trying to avoid a bump.

I have everything I need to repair but it's the paint. It would need a full respray and it would look silly with green panels. :(
-
Woah! MATE! Im gutted for you :'(
-
bloody bad news indeed. sorry for you. :(
-
Just one thing after another. lost my partner and my job a few months ago too, What next? :'(

Needs must mate , just repair and do paint at a later date ;)
-
That sucks more than a supercharged Dyson! Fix what you can, paint when you can...
I know who you feel, I built an amazing car years ago (one of those that you wish you still had) and some moron smashed in the front end and buffered off. I did fix her up and although the paint never was right and it bit me every time I looked at it, at least I still had her for a while....

if you have the color mixture formula , new paint prepared wont be very different imo.. :-\
so why you need full re-spray.. it requires some bit of work to match the color even if its different..
-
oh shite.... like you ide be well pissed off!!! i bet u wished u had run in to the stupid bint!! atleast u can fix her!!! :y
unlike my last elite 2bent chassis legs writing it off :'(
matching the paint is yes guna be hard ish but a good paint sprayer should be able to match the flip, even if the whole car flatted down have the front blown in & have the flip put into the lacqure & just blow over the main shell with lacqure to hide the fade in..
are the alloys still available?? can you get singles???
-
gutted for you fella...and wasn't that up for sale also?
-
gutted mate, but does look repairable... :)
-
Simon,
I'm gutted for you mate. Can you see if there is any cctv around the area see if you can track her down......

Feel sorry for you bud :'(

Hi Simon,
Have you raised an incident with your local Police force?
If not, I urge you to do this ASAP. I know it's probably low on your priority list mate, but it's very important for a couple of reasons...
1) In case the other party / anyone else saw the accident, decides they 'sustained damage' and attempts to claim against you.
2) It means that if the above occurs, you can't be booked for "failing to report an accident"
3) If you know the make and model of the car concerned, there is a bloody good chance of tracking her down within a given time slot, even without the VRM. I can't say too much, but ANPR is a wonderful thing.......
Most importantly - pleased you are OK - that's by far the main thing :y
-
That's bad, proper heartache, especially with that paint. Was a lovely car :(

shit me, i dont even want to know how pissed off you are, was a nice car mate, but is still fixable tho :-\
-
are the alloys still available?? can you get singles???
Luckily I had 6 of them.
-
Well I was sat up all night weighing things up and deliberating what to do, And I didn't spend 5 figures on a car to give up on it. If it takes me years i'll have it better than it was. So I made a start today at damage assessment etc. It's all bodywork. Bent most things back into place. The steering is well out and cockeyed though so that's going to be the main thing. It's just heartbreaking. Some pics......

Ouch :'(
I'll not repeat t'others advice :y Worst bit looks to be the left hand headlight surround :-\
Having changed the slam panel on mine the only advice I can offer is this:
In the fourth pic from bottom there is a bracket that joins the the chassis leg to the bottom of the slam panel. If you drill the welds on this bracket so that the slam panel is free from it then you'll find it easier to get the bottom edge of the slam panel straight. :y Pull the bracket forward, then use a block of wood as a drift and knock the headlight surround from behind (may need to unbolt the horns first) to bring the bottom edge back up to where it should be, then reweld the bracket to the panel :y
Hope that makes sense, easier to point than to type ::)
Al :y

Assholes ! I would be fuming as I suspect are you.
Gotta ask though, what the heck is that tank thing sitting behind the passenger front wheel ?

Made some more progress today. Washer bottle and pump are secured and not leaking, Headlights in and straight and working and the underneath of the skirts is now straight. Grill also fits again.

yep.. good to see its repaired mostly.. and there is no damage to chasis as the hood and front wing gaps being uniform..
hood corner needs to be repaired and some parts needs a similiar paint :y
-
Gutted mate hope you got the reg of the car that drove off, but it is just proving it was her fault i suppose.

Exactly. instinct is to avoid. if i'd known now i'd have floored it into the side of the daft cow.
