Title: starter inhibitor....
Post by: ngrainqey on 19 March 2012, 19:05:09
hello,
can somebody tell me the pins needed to be shorted on the selector switch for the starter inhibitor, i've got a thick black and thick yellow on my facelift (from memory pin A and pin D) - pin D and F need soldering to the reverse light switch which i've made a piece of loom up for, having no loom/connector from donor car for it - so knicked one from the T5 :P

thanks in advance
alex

Under the bonnet, the middle one (blue?) of the 3 round multi-plugs. Join the wires on pins 1 & 2 (both black/red) at the base of the plug (fixed part)
You also need to ground one of the pins on the MID to stop the autobox warning coming on (not sure which one)

grey plug pin21 grey wire on mid but cannot be grounded tryed it on a few places just stays on but if wire unpluged just comes on, on startup then gose.
