I always fill the tank when I refuel.  Why keep visiting the petrol station every few days putting the odd tenner in?  It's not like it evaporates when it's not being used so if you're going to use it, you're going to use it.  (And yes, I know that there is a slight penalty for pulling the weight of a full tank but it's worth it for not having to refuel so often).

Unless I need it, I never fill right up. Usually try to keep it just half full, that way it's a compromise between range and weight!

Roughly 1 litre of liquid is approx 1 kilo.  You fill to the brim, your looking at nearly 90 kilo's :o

Only if you think 75 is nearly 90  ;D

But in reality, it will only weigh 75 kilos when you drive off the forecourt.  It will lose about 5 kilos of that weight every 30 miles or so (or much quicker depending on how you drive).  The impact of driving with a full tank is negligible compared with the convenience of not having to keep visiting petrol stations!

Good point. Don't ask me where I got 90 from, lol. Probably the age I feel right now!

I always fill my cars right up, every time.  Mainly because I HATE petrol stations, and I HATE queuing even more!!  >:(

At least with the car I use to get to work and back, I never ever have to go near a petrol station!!  :y

+2, what with petrol stations now being used as the supermarket shop, I always fill it up.

If only the Omega had a bigger tank!  ;D

Hi all,I think that I didn't make my post too clear, what I really meant was, when the budget was due, everyone knew that the price of petrol would rise straight away so queues would start to form on petrol station forecoats just before the rise in duty was announced.
Sorry about the grammer, but I've just come back home after a couple of pints and a frame or two of snooker.
