Frankly, I would have preferred if he'd been taken alive to find out if he was a sole operative or a member of a larger unit.

Personally I would shoot every muslim that is a suspected terrorist, not say they popped up on the radar because they visit Pakistan then let them carry out atrocities in the west, before we take action. >:( >:( >:(

Even if they took him alive he wouldnt of said nothing if hes gone this far to kill anybody and not be frightened to die himself i very much doubt he would say anything. Unless they put him in the hands of the omega lads then thats another story. ;) :y

Anyway along the discussion between the terrorrist and special force a really strong tendency was realized by negotiators namely he will never give up himself as he want and ready to die. There was no other choice than the siege. :-\ And later? I wonder this sad event will be really beneficial for whom looking at the political opponents in France...Le Pen?

The BBC were saying in their "news" bulletins that the attacks were suspected to be the work of a right wing extremist group.I bet they were sorely disappointed when it turned out to be a Muslim fundamentalist. ::)

Are you calling me racist simply because of my opinion? Not everyone is a terrorist, NO, only Islamic fundamentalists in todays day and age.

Being a fundamentalist does not make you a terrorist whether you be Muslim, Christian or any other denomination. Terrorists are spawn from almost every religion, and not all terrorists follow religious ideology either.

There are many far right Christian terrorist groups across the world.
There are at least 2 hard line Hindi groups I can recall off the top of my head...
And I am sure you must know about those in Ireland which are separated along religious lines.

there's also basque sepratists in spain....but there has been more than 18,628 terrorist attacks since 9/11 commited by muslims..so i'd say while other terror groups exist they probably don't do 0.1% of the attacks muslims do

Evil power grabbing people, usually with very flawed personalities will hide behind whatever suits them: religion / politics / animal rights / environment / gender and use the same sort of scapegoats to justify their evil ends. They usually DON'T even represent a very small minority of the society they live in or the group or country they claim to represent, let alone a majority.
IMHO in democratic societies there is never any justification for terrorism and in repressive dictatorships only if it is directed at the directly involved ruling class and their tools of enforcement.
The more I've travelled the more I realize the vast majority of people in any country, just want to have a quiet, enjoyable life, get married have a few children,so they have a good family with a close circle of friends, regardless of religion and politics.
However, there always has been and unfortunately always will be a small percent of anarchists is any society. They have always played to the media and cause outrage to get far more attention than the pathetic individuals and their pathetic organisations deserve.
Our lives are becoming more and more denominated by sensationalist journalism, who are using any angle possible to SELL you some news. It is very dangerous situation we are now in, where they are forging and leading societies opinions, so their bigotry or political correctness then becomes that of society as a whole, which is why I think it is important to have your own thought out views on things.
Personally, I would root out all the anarchists, criminals and parasites and ship them to Antarctica as they would then either wipe themselves out or learn to live with each other and fight their common enemy, cold and hunger.
