No idea .. its a transmission error .. so my guess would be that a solenoid inside the gearbox is malfunctioning and needs replacing ??? Or possibly it is not getting the right voltage due to an external fault ???

OK, if its the snap-off one, I think that reads in the TCM codes as well and Engine ECU. So follow the diag procedure for the P0748 (Pressure Control Solenoid (snap-off doesn't read next part))

I have a personal theory about codes to do with gearbox and that is to change crank sensor before doing anything else - I was getting the P1700 a few years ago and crank sensor and ATF change seems to have fixed it.

had the car back today from agents they said theres still a fault with the torque converter stuck off buts its intermittent ,they also found a few bits
of plastic which they seem to think is a thrust washer
are these 2 problems easy to sort out
thanks

Your be dropping the gearbox by the sounds of it. There's a good how to about the thrust washer on here some where. I always thought the torque lock up was mechanical with no electrical components. So not sure on the answer to that one.
