Why is oil black when it comes out of my car?
It goes in nice and brown - what causes the change?

Why is oil black when it comes out of my car?
It goes in nice and brown - what causes the change?
If its black when it comes out on a petrol car, you are not changing frequently enough

If its black when it comes out on a petrol car, you are not changing frequently enough
Please sir I last changed it at 4000 miles - normally 3000 but I forgot - like my MOT :-X

Sounds like you may want to consider a couple of short changes to clean it up...
