As its a 2.2, absolute first thing to check is the engine ecu for fault codes and the well known cam sensor code that also sends the auto box loopy.... Before you do anything else, check engine for fault codes.

Hth

(it's a well known code, but I don't know what the actual code is ;D )

hi i bought this one off ebay :'(

Item number: 150571718562

That will only read the engine codes from a FL model omega (OBDII), no chance of it reading gearbox codes

(I know the advert says it will read transmissions .. but the chances of it happening are ......  :(  )

5L40-E was not fitted to any UK Omegas so it'll be AR25/35. :y

got one today off ebay £20 came with software to get it working on usb says it does the lot ie engine, transmission.and many more..
after messing around with ports ets on laptop...bang it was up and running
here are my engine codes

p1555(0)
p0170(2)
p0340(4)
p1700(0)
p0335(8)   (eight)
ive looked them up and no what 4 mean except the p1700
the gadget is a bit hit and miss.. but i wanted to use it to get transmission codes..then delete them and see what comes back..

now for the down side.....dont bother getting one, they are crap.it managed to read engine codes ,would not erase them and that is just about all it can do...i now know you need to use the tech boys on here who have the proper kit..

ps does the number in bracket mean how many times detected
