Title: 2000 V6 3.0 Elite
Post by: LeylandNational on 25 March 2012, 21:36:06
Hello All

I am currantley doing some work on a 2000 Reg 3.0 V6 Elite Omega. and just need some tips/pointers for the jobs.

The first is i am doing a Gearbox Change AR35 as it is worn out. i have the wiring disconnected and box dropped on the back but having problems getting to the bellhousing bolts any tips?.

The next 2 are Coil Pack and Leads+ heater bypass switch which i have removed to get to coil pack. i have removed the top half of the inlet manifold but how much more needs to come off to get to the parts?.

Many Thanks
Ash

wipers and plastic cover underneath wipers & plenum chamber should be enough to allow you to get to dispak :y

there are bolts both sides of bell housing i found the hardest to reach bolts are the 2 at the top
cant remember how many bolts in total just feel around the diameter of bell housing both sides, and also remove bolts from torque converter as well prior to removal

If you drop the gearbox mounting and tilt the box the two upper 19mm bolts are accessible from underneath. You've removed enough to get at the dispack, I find a long reach 8mm socket best for getting at the torx bolts on this ;)
