Title: Wheelarch liner removal, how's it done?
Post by: Tetleysmooth on 26 March 2012, 06:38:06
Has anybody ever removed the liner from a front wing? Prefacelift.
Could you give me a 'how to' please?
I did look in the maintainence guides, but couldn't seem to find anything, but maybe I was wording the search wrong.
Thanks.

There isn't one afaik.

Iirc, it's just a case of undoing the fixings with the wheel off. On re fitting make sure it clips into the wing panel around the arch correctly by matching the other side.  :)

I dropped the O/S one on my face lift last week. Pretty straight forward. Easier with the wheel off. There was two plastic 10mm nuts on the floor pan side. At the front there's two bolts One is obvious and is at the 3o clock position of the arch. The other is hidden underneath the bumper adjacent to the arch lip. Apart from them it's held on with those stupid poppers with the pin you have to push through to release them. You know the ones you can never find the pin for once you've pushed them through  ::) ::) Once you've done that just get hold of the inner edge and bend it so the clips which hold it around the wheel arch come free.
