GM Semi Synthetic is about the best value you could hope for. With a trade card it's about 8 quid per 5 litres at the moment if bought 4 bottles at a time.

There are superior oils but if you're changing it regularly you don't need to be paying a lot for oil.

How easy is it to get a trade card?

The easiest way is to join Autobahnstormers. 20 quid a year and you can use your membership card to get trade club prices. :y

Failing that, find someone near you who's got one. They may be interested in splitting a set of 4 oils.

Personally i use millars CSF 10/40w, its quite expensive but after blowing my last cars bottom end because of cheap oil id rather pay the extra to be a little safer. Saying that if you dont drive the car hard id just go with cheap stuff and change it regulary

Vx own semi, changed every 3 - 5k, is pretty unbeatable, and doesn't cost much on TC either (Oil + filter around £10 + VAT).
