Title: Spanner Symbol and no power

Looking for advice from forum experts on intermittent problem with 2.2 petrol omega.  Yesterday when starting spanner symbol came on and when pressing accelerator no power or revs.  Switced off repeated - same result. Repeated light out and perfect.  Recently bought car had been standing for over year and had to replace lamda and Maf sensors.  Car also very varied in fuel consumption.  Any ideas guys?  Great forum.

Need to get the codes read, but I'd be looking at the cam sensor. Don't go changing parts though until codes are read  :y
