Ok so I can't get the key out of the ignition even when I put it in "park".
I'm guessing there's a micro switch but where should I look ?
Thanks

If in "P" and key won`t come out, there is a microswitch under the gearlever gaiter that de-energises when ign. is switched off to allow for key removal, sounds like it`s knackered. Remove the cowling around the steering column and look for a little solenoid on the bottom of the lock cylinder. Remove the electrical connector from it and key should release. Leave said connector disconnected

hi sometimes this happens to me all i do is pull back on selector and wiggle key and it allways comes out :y
-
Haha ;D the old wiggle trick eh?
I'll have to wait for daylight now.
Good Job there's 2 cars parked in front of it on the drive :y
-
Well the wiggle didn't work so assuming the micro switch is U/S.
Took the steering column cowling off and the solenoid was easy to disconnect.
Keys now safely in the house.
Thank You.

There's a 'How to' in the Maintenance Guides, if you have a look.
