Not sure they they are all the same  :-\ but a new one from Vauxhall was around £35 IIRC  :y and will take a man of your cooling system experience about 5 mins to swap over.  :y :y :y

I'd take it off, fill it with strong bleech and leave it overnight.  Should clean up, perhaps with a bottle brush

Indeed  ;D
Not much ive not seen of the cooling system but the scabby old coolant bottle just dont look nice so will enquire as to how much unless someone on here has a nice white one  ;)

I did get a used bottle in similar condition jonathan and left it for a few weeks with bleach and other cleaners but its still yellowish so i think its the plastic thats actually yellowed  ;)

They vary. The TD ones are definately different to the petrols. Not sure on DTi ones without looking.

They are in 4 sections internally. I've cleaned scale up by putting small shingle in, and shaking, but a pain to get stones out.  Whilst bleach cleaned it up a bit, I ended up buying new in the end.  Was that impressed, I then replaced the one on the MV6 as well ;D

Being an Elite model you will require the one with a "level sensor" inside.

Around £35.00 from stealers, but they don,t come with a new yellow cap...just a black dust cover,so if you want/need a new cap factor in another £5.00.  Simple to replace and makes a world of difference when you next open the bonnet. :y..part # 90500223

See the part numbers, non-genuine ones have an "N" after the number.

Just noticed that about the sensor , so what do the ones without the sensor use for a low coolant level warning apart from steam coming out of the bonnet  :)

Well another laboratory test on the coolant bottle  :D
Results in progress are in :

Seems a very strong bleach solution say 4-1 ratio has started to work its magic on the brown goo bottle ...significant cleaning and whitening in progress  ??? ;)
