For me, smoother gear changes and the gear changes happened more at the revs I would have done if it was manual. i remember when I first switched to the auto I was swearing at the ****er to change gear and it wouldn't but afterwards it was much more natural.

Latest for a 2.2 is 0A (ver 10). Improvements over ver 8 are smoother changes and less gear hunting.

As I've never owned a 2.2, this is based on feedback after I've done it, not personal experience.

Had my gearbox update done last night by Kevin, nice chap, got updates for everything, my gearbox used to bang into gear and loved hitting top gear as soon as possible! what a pain. Found out last night it was running v1, now its running v10, and i say, its a hell of a lot better than before, and feels to have a little more ooomph behind it, lovely job done, impressed.

It was a pleasure, Ben, and I'm glad you're finding the improvement worthwhile. :y

Cheers Kevin, the car feels a lot nicer all round now. Took a bit of getting used to the cruise, but sussed it out, just got to get this knocking identified now  :D
