In fact, add in all the other shite we (she) bought while we where in there, it's really not worth the money ;D

thats an excellent lookingjack btw..... i do remember looking at their tyre centre but at the time iirc the prices weren't (surprisingly) that competitive? :-\

Leave the Mrs at home. Trust me. :)

Yup. The free Costco card was the ONLY highlight of that day! >:(

Should add, it is VERY VERY heavy.

I saw that when we were last in Costco, looked pretty good, I just have so much other 'stuff' in my garage though that I decided not to bother.
It always cost me a bloody fortune when we go in there, IIRC it cost me over £300 the other week when we went for two £20 Mother's Day presents! ??? ??? ???

yep, b+q, macro very similar.
I should add I got one of those Kirscher window cleaner things. Although its brilliant, it was £45. A completely impulsive buy, other than seeing the tv ad. :-[
Clearly more restraint than the B family though :o ;D
-
I bought one last weekend as well, as I wanted a jack that would go under TBE, which the clarke one wouldn't. Having used Tunnie's in the past, and being very impressed...
Couldn't get it out of the car though, had to wait for chrisgixer to turn up ;D
As to the £25 (plus VAT ;)) joining, you should have called - I was in Oxford yesterday, seeing a consultant, so could have popped to Reading to let you in

Is that the same as the Karcher one?

I got one for Christmas, it's excellent. Although it did nearly break my back when I had to lift it out of the car.

;D sorry yes Karcher...http://www.karcher.co.uk/uk/Products/Home__Garden/Window_cleaner.htm
...and thanks for offer, but we had considered joining before, so it will come in handy.
Costco is better organised, easier to get to, and way less Chavy than Macro. Plus costco seem to have the correct pricing as the tills where moving far quicker. Macro is a mare at the tills as they're always double checking prices and altering amounts through differences in the shelf v til price. They are hopeless.

How do you join Costco?

and way less Chavy than Macro
Been a while since I've been to Makro, but my pet hate of Costco in Milton Keynes (only been to a couple of other branches, seem less problematic) is uncontrolled brats running around >:(
Its, at the end of the day, a warehouse cash and carry, not a children's playground - yet the parents let the little bastards rip open stuff they are not buying, and just generally cause a riot >:(. There should be an age limit >:(. Added to that, the parents who watch the little bastards vandalise the stock should be publically executed >:( >:( >:(
Rant over

Officially you have to work for a company that is on their list... ...quite an extensive list though

Prove you are self employed, bank statements and tax forms etc.
Details on the web site. You can go though the process on line to see what's needed. But we joined there and then, took 5mins. Mug shot taken in the shop on the card and paper work.
