Ok, somehow or other I've managed to get exterior eggshell paint on the drivers seat of my Daughters Corsa & I've had a severe ear bending I can tell you :-[.
It transferred from my old work trousers which I'd been painting in, I must have brushed against the wet paint and then sat in her car.
It's now dry, so I'll be contacting Sandtex's customer service dept for some life saving advice.

^sympathy^ has SWMBO got ear of it yet ???

Step 1: Offer to buy daughter a new car.
Step 2: Grovel.
Step 3: Repeat as necessary ;)

As said above :y ;D

Santex's customer support folks were sympathetic but not actually much use TBH.
"if it's still wet then try white spirit", well, it isn't wet - it's very very dry ..........
So, what's the collective OOF experience/suggestion/comments on this please?
-
Buy her some seat covers then go back to Melton Mowbray and live off pies until you are forgiven :y ;D ;D
-
Rob. Easy fix this.
Buy a tin of matching paint and colour coordinate the remaining interior ;)
-
go buy some pink or cow print seat covers. what year is the corsa?
-
Interesting approach, but its success is more dependent on the year of the daughter!
I think you'll be looking for a secondhand seat.
And doing a lot of grovelling.

I used to work for Sandtex and believe me there is no way it will all come out, wet or dry. White spirit tends to discolour the material as well.
Nothing for it but new seat or covers i'm afraid

That sounds like it should be followed by "Your Honour".. ;)

Paint all the seats with it, job done :y

Well, my entirely helpful suggestion would be to get in touch with Andy Clears and give him your chassis number, he can then get you a seat base cover which will be pretty simple to fit.
We had a ciggy burn in the seat base of our Zafira, gave him the required info and lo and behold seat cover arrived, stripped the old one and fitted new in about an hour. Looks brilliant and hardly any colour difference, the 'newness' will soon fade to match the rest of the seat as ours did after about a month.
If it's the same sort of thing then the only advice would be to watch how you remove the small 'hog' rings that hold the fabric onto the restraining bars.
Fairly inexpensive and easy fix.
