Just turned on the living room ceiling light and flash pop the bulb blew out of the holder and landed on SWMBO's head....couldn't help myself!
No harm done, well not to me yet.
Anyone had these pop like this before?, the entire glass part( 40w screw in) has blown off intact leaving the screw part in the fitting

Had same problem b4 mate but with the in
And twist bulbs It was a Lady bits to get the metal
Bit out and the bulb smashed didnt hit no one on
The head thow ;D ;D ;D

Hmm, if it's one of those new CFL bulbs you need to evacuate the room and, using suitable breathing filters, carefully remove the debris. This will then need to be disposed of in a manner approved by the local authority. (No, I'm not kidding!).
Whether this will requirement extends to SWMBO's head, I am unsure.... ;) ;) ;D

PMSL at you guys!!!
We've had a 30w low energy bulb go bang before now, that was pretty spectacular, luckilly the fizzing
noise coming from it was the cue to get well away from it just in time :o
Is SWMBO talking to you/laying off the death threats yet?
