i want to upgrade my brakes(2.0 cdx 97) sometimes just feels dosent want to stop pads and discs all round are fine. want to know best way to go about it?

Omega,s stock brakes are plenty good enough...when working correctly. :y
Start off with a total fluid change followed by a good inspection of each caliper.Worth removing the sliders and regreasing them with either lithium or red rubber grease.
I assume you have genuine VX discs and pads fitted ? as aftermarket pads don,t have much feel and discs from other sources are also questionable .
With a bit of time and not a lot of money I recon you could dramatically improve them.

ISTR that the early 2.0 did come with smaller discs & calipers than the later cars, though.. so perhaps a retro-fit of a later vehicles braking system (master cylinder, servo, calipers, discs, pads) might be worthwhile.

never thought of changing fluid I suppose it degrades over time, and yes they are genuine all round. looks like a job tommorow weather permitting.

Fluid should be changed every 2 years. Well worth doing that if the history is unknown.
I have a feeling the early 2.0 front disks were only marginally smaller so I'd say an upgrade is unlikely to make a massive difference to the stopping power. :-\

Early 2.0 front discs 286mm dia, all others 296mm dia. ;)

Service what you have with good quality parts. ie, not mintex/ferrodo/assorted over hyped pattern shite.
The standard brakes are perfectly suitable for all but track use. If they are not, something is wrong :y
