Title: door solenoid

just replaced front drivers door motor,second hand off ebay,still not working am i missing something,is there any way to test the motor ?

Could be that the microswitches in the motor assembly are broken.  This appears to be a common fault on these cars, mine has been playing up for several months now.

There is an excellent guide on this forum how to replace the switches (which you can get cheaply from RS) and I will be repairing mine soon following the guide.  It would be worth stripping your old motor and checking them.

Indeed. More than likely microswitches. Farnell have the exact replacement (cherry DB2 with PCB pins). Yet to find a motor with any other fault, and I have repaired a few.

On the bottom of the motor you'll see the circuit tracks. From memory the inner 2 tracks are the power for the motor. If you put some power across them the motor should move. Switch polarity to move it the other way.
