can anyone tell me if a 2.5 v6 salloon exhaust system is the same as a 3.2 salloon as my 2.5 is dead now and has a better system than my 3.2 kind regards

If they are both facelifts, then the centre sections will be identical, and the backbox is interchangeable (except single pipe on 2.5, twin on 3.2).  The cat sections are different though.  :y

no the 2.5 is a 97 so may,bee no good then?

Exhaust from cat back will fit all V6 models, only difference is F/L tailpipe is longer to accomodate deeper rear bumper

				thats great thanks

I've a pre facelift backbox on my F/L estate. Works well, but is a bit awkward to keep the rubber hangers in place without a couple of locking collars. I wasn't aware of the difference when I bought it, a new, genuine Vx part for £40 was too good to pass up.
Personally, I think it looks better short, as it's a lot less obvious; there is no way to make a pipe(or two) sticking out the back of a car look good.

Essentially the v engine system is the same from cat back.

Differences are estate/saloon obviously. They will not fit otherwise.
Face lift has a deeper bumper so should have longer tail pipes.
3.0/3.2 have twin exit back box. Although this is said to be for show only.
