Well, I know there are lots of questions/answers about this...sorry, I just don't have the patience to read them all.... :)
V6, brand new head gaskets, exhaust manifolds renewed, everything clean, flat, manifold nuts tightened to the specified torque, etc....
Still, at first start, smoke is visible after a few seconds.....seems to come up from underneath the exhaust manifold....
I know some reasonable amount of smoke is expectable after renewal....but this amount looks too much.
I read about tightening both ends of the SAI rubber hole ....I'll check that, too.
The exhaust manifold nuts seem pretty hard to reach.
Can (should) they be re-tightened without removing 1000000000000 other things ? (already at specified torque!)

When were the cam cover gaskets replaced? were they leaking badly prior to renewal? :)

No, this time it's not the typical camshaft cover-leaking-so-oil-drops-down-to-hot-manifold problem.
I checked with a mirror, all clean and dry :

I also checked the exhaust manifold from underneath the car , again : pretty clean and dry :

I re-tightened the SAI rubber hose,too (brand new) :

Now, the problem seemed to be caused solely by some small amount of oil, coming out of the gap between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe :

After cleaning it and carefully re-tightening the nut, the problem seems to be solved. :y

Hey Peti,
Thanks for posting this, I also have a leak and the one place I've not looked is that joint!
