Title: Exhaust part numbers
Post by: keithnic on 30 April 2012, 15:41:29
Hi,

Please can someone help me with part numbers for 3.2 v6 2001 plate?  From another thread I thought they were :-

Estate LH centre box 93181160
Estate RH centre box 93181163
Rear silencer    93192233

But my father-in-law can't find them at the motor factors that he works for.  Thanks.

On behalf on OOF, the answer to your query is to not bother with the current crop of GM exhausts. They are no longer double skinned and overall quality has gone down yet the prices are still the same.

The exhausts endorsed by OOF are from an eBay company called eternal. The quality of their exhausts are similar to the current crop of GM exhausts but are about a 1/3 of the price.

If you still want GM, pm a member called andyc for discounts on GM exhausts.

He won't. These exhaust numbers have changed a couple of time and the aftermarket have a job keeping up to date with the number, also alot of aftermarket makers will use the Opel KAT number & not the GM parts Number.

I too would recommend the Eternal route for the 3 sections. Don't use Eternal's 'fitting kits', they are shite, and not worth the money - buy the clamps locally :y

They use the bog standard, not-so-cheap-but-very-very-nasty Bosal Timax crap. Awful.

I have a pretty good idea of what sort of exhaust will be fitted at fast-fit places, I have a similar type on my car and its droney with the windows closed and unbearable with the windows open.
