I have an omega 2.2 dti repro, which in theory has the same box as the 2.5 dti.
Where I can find a differential for my car? Is it impossible?
I've heard many things using search the forum, as in the specifications come as nordic spec LSD, which in former police cars came standard 3.0 LSD (do not know if it is compatible with my model) etc.
But I have not seen any LSD to come, neither new nor in the secondary market, where do I have to look?
I do not see anything aftermarket, or plate type or torsen, no external mark makes for opel omega differential?
I'm a little desperate.
Not essential, but for my driving style and the place where soil lead, I really need... the only alternative I see is the phamtom grip, which is not a self-locking to use but better go.
I live in Spain. Thanks in advance

I'll probably have a working LSD diff coming up for sale just after end of this month.

Might be worth a PM to a member here called "Omegatoy" he lives in Spain, but is from the UK, not sure how often he does come back here, but might be worth having a chat with him, if one can be sourced here :y
-
Sure it would work in a omega 2.2 dti?
If so, when on sale, let me know with a private please, I lost a little ground to visit the forum but occasionally
-
Should fit no problems, but the diff ratio's were aimed at V6, not sure how this would affect a DTi :-\

final drive ratio refers?
can not install the limited slip differential with a final ratio of diesel ? I guess that can adapt...

Not sure what was fitted the Dti, guessing higher ratio, this one will be from a 3.0 auto, 2600 rpm at 70 mph in top (calibrated speedo) so what ever that works out in real money.

Iirc, the dti's have a 3.45 ratio :-\

and LSD, which is the final ratio?
-
Is actually 3.45:
1ª 3.81
2ª 2.11
3ª 1.34
4ª 1.00
5ª 0.76
Final drive ratio: 3.45
Now I need to know the final ratio riding LSD to see if I do compensate for developments.
I've seen the websites 3.90 ( MV6 ), is it possible? if so it may work well, now I guess.

If the final ratio ( LSD ) is 3.90, so the thing I would:

http://www.teammfactory.com/gearcalculator.php?kmh=1&tirewidth=225&tireprofile=55&wheelsize=16&tirediameter1=25.74&maxrpm1=4700&finaldrive1=3.45&gearratio1=3.810&gearratio2=2.110&gearratio3=1.340&gearratio4=1.00&gearratio5=0.76&gearratio6=&trannytype=&tirewidth2=225&tireprofile2=55&wheelsize2=16&tirediameter2=25.74&maxrpm2=4700&finaldrive2=3.90&gearratioa=3.81&gearratiob=2.11&gearratioc=1.34&gearratiod=1.00&gearratioe=0.76&gearratiof=&trannytype=&tranny=Calculate+Transmission+1+%26+2
The car will accelerate more, it's like installing a short group, the problem is that fuel consumption would have slightly higher in 5º gear:
90km/h:
3.45: 1800rpm's
3.90: 2100rpm's
110km/h:
3.45: 2300rpm's
3.90: 2600rpm's
130km/h:
3.45: 2700rpm's
3.90: 3000rpm's
300rpm's are apart, you are willing to sacrifice...

LSD`s had either of the four ratios, 3.45, 3.70, 3.90 and 4.22

Of those 4, the only thing that is not enough for me 4.22 (too close), the rest are worth me.
