Title: Watchdog: Insignia Fires
Post by: tunnie on 03 May 2012, 20:16:47
Interesting piece on these fires, not power sounders  ::)

Apparently 2009-2010 ones with derv engines, have issues with PAS pipework. It runs close to the DPF, if they leak the PAS fluid sprays/drips onto it and let be fire!

Must be a bit scary, potentially loosing power steering plus smoke/fire!

These DPF's do appear to be quite troublesome, no doubt stupid length oil changes don't help!

I seem to remember some of the early Migs had a similar problem, initially at least.
