Title: A Fuel Tank Question
Post by: waspy on 06 May 2012, 09:01:24
Is the sender, feed & return line arrangement on top of the tank the same for a diesel & petrol (facelift, if that makes a difference)?
Thanks.

I believe so Pete, accessed through the panel under the boot carpet. Not 100 percent but I can't imagine they'd change this design just for one varient. Pop out with a screwdriver and take a look :y

Yes I had a look yesterday. I was thinking they wouldn't change the set up for diesel/petrol, but one never knows with designers.
Looks like I may be needing a new one as mines badly rusted & I have a fuel leak. I believe this to be my starting problems, but i'm  :-\ :-\
If it's leaking on the return then this will cause my problem  :( :'(

I had the same problem 2yrs ago, the pipes were rotten as mark says the top comes off.  fitted new top and smothered it with vaseline to try to keep the rust at bay, so far its working. mel.
