Post by: turbowrx on 09 May 2012, 11:57:08
So, after beeing a member on TC for over a year, I decided to join this forum too  :)

My car is a 1993 Opel Omega A 3.0 24v manual. Mostly stock, but I've done a few changes.

These days they only make ugly and idiotic cars that even the workshop is unable to fix if something is wrong...

Thank you! I am taking good care of it, and I would love to keep it forever, but it has it's problems, like all cars. Hopefully they wan't be to costly to repare when needed :)

That looks to be a great example - most of the Carltons in the UK have rotted away with rust :(

There is not many left in norway! Even 2012 model cars rust over here :s People dont know anymore how to drive on snow, so they are salting the roads even in dry conditions.. I hate it!

It's not a bad example, but it does need a new paintjob. There are quite a few dents and a ton of scratches all over the car, but there's very little rust. Only a few spots at the bottom of two doors (almost invisible) and that's mostly it. I really do want to repaint the whole car before it's too late.

The imperfections in the paintwork don't show in the pics :y

Hi Turbowrx,

I have the same exact car like yours.
But I have an issue with the car.
When I press on the accelerator pedal, The car does not have enough power in Drive "D".

Do you know where I can purchase a used TCM?

Please do let me know.
thanks
Mixfinger

Hi Mixfinger.
Turbowrx doesn't own this car anymore - he bought a BMW!

I would suggest cleaning your idle control valve.   :y
