Title: Mechanic / Garage nr Basingstoke
Post by: kully on 15 May 2012, 13:41:51
Can anyone recommend a garage / mechanic near Basingstoke? The Mig is making odd noises over bumps, not sitting right at the front and needs a new thermostat.

I'm not getting spare time to do these myself atm.

cheers,

I'm sure one of the mechanics will be in touch, they are usually more reliable than garages! (and cheaper)

Chris Gixer is down that way I think :y
Maybe worth sending him a PM.

Or perhaps Mr Wood isn't too far away, given that it's Hampshire (I think)? :y

Indeed. Not far away.. but sadly I can't recommend a garage because I don't use them. ;)

Given its a suspension issue, and you are in chrisgixer's area, I'd be sending him a PM.

Garages seem to strugle with Omegas.

Thanks for the help everyone. I was a little silly and booked in with a mobile mechanic for Friday instead of waiting a few days for this thread to get replies. I'll see what he says.

Reading, if I squint and clench my arse - I can see if from here.

Purely out of interest, who did you use? :y

I used a local mobile mechanic (who drove the car to his workshop anyway, so not too sure on the mobile bit).
