I wonder how Marie`s LPG-conversion weekend is going?

Oh dear!....but fully understandable as it is such a big job to complete; finger`s crossed for the job to get easier towards the end. :y

its only a 4 pot, should be a lot easier. Take it they are putting an SGI kit on?

Everything is now going fine.. a few distractions but we are on track for the deadline of getting it completed this weekend.
Inlet manifold / injectors / throttle body was a bit of a pain, but is now all done. Probably easier on the v6 by comparison - much less work to take the manifold off!
Oh, and the tank valve needs to come back out briefly to enable the feed to engine bay connection to fit...
More to come, we are about to go and continue the gas fitting!

NOPE not yet we want to wrap up a few bits so we get to fill with gas first thing tomorrow!!!!
then again we can drink and work the hard stuff has been done!!! just the fiddly bits to do! :)

Well we raped for the day at 2330.
we have just had enough for one day. 80% done just fiddley bits to do tomorrow.
i have learnt so much today. and spent most of it under the car yet again! well i got to run the fuel line and wiring from front to back. it was the most useful place for me ;D

Job done. :y It was a real strugle to get it all done in a weekend and there are a few loose ends to tidy up but Marie drove off into the sunset about an hour ago, burning LPG. :)

Well i walked in 30mins ago and hubby walked out 10 mins later. :'(
The car has never been better. apart from the loose ends which i would have liked to sort out today but bl00dy hubby wanted the car like yesterday >:( Remind me the loose ends please Kevin just so i make sure i sort them all out when i get the car back on friday)
i cant thank Kevin and James enough for all there hard work with the car and Emma for all her lovely cookin and hospitality. :) im just so sorry i had to rush off like that. i feel really guilty for leaving the garage like a bombs site. :(

i need a bath first!!! i am black with dirt! then again i could have a beer in the bath!.
the mosthe moaned at me when i got back was because i drove back in my minging jumper and now he has to sit in the seat!
SOD him >:( ungreatful ******* I have worked my tits off this weekend and James and Kevin have done more so then me! Its not as if he gets his bl00dy asre out on the car to maintain it or mod it!

Ahh. :-[ Did cross my mind at one point but when I looked at my camera the batteries were flat. TBH, it was a bit too hectic to document the process with photos. Maybe next time.
Ah, and Marie - the list of details to be tidied up:
Work out why we've lit the ABS light (suspect we disturbed a loose connector)
Mount the ECU more permanently
Have a look at the Lambda sensor wiring as I think we're on the wrong pin of the ECU (only important for mapping).
Have another tweak at the map when we've got more time.
Tidy up the LPG filler fitting.

Well i have just purchased this for the Towbar:

reckon it will work!
ABS- looks like im rolling around under the motor on friday again. ;D ;D
ECU - will look at on friday might see if i can drill two whole for it.
Got to go through the engine bay and get some more tie wraps on the wires. really dont want them getting loose and gettin on the engine and melting.
When we get another nice weekend and we are both free will have to get jase to cook (havent told him yet ;D ;D) and have you over for dinner. :) :) dont think i would like to map the car on my own :( but there would be no work and a nice relaxing day if you and Emma fancy it.

Do you have a towbar and towbar mounted filler then?
I have and my towbar is full - two sockets on left filler on right
ECU - I put mine on a fibreglass and mesh plate as I couldn't drill through with an engine in the way
