Not knowing that much about it I went and had a look at the Traffic Master site.
I was basically wondering what the subscription cost was.
After a quick look round the TM Site it seemed I wasnt going to find what I was after as I dont really know what service is actually avail thought the Omega TM Button.
Anyone use it it?
What does it actually offer in the way of info?
What are the subscription costs?
Thanks for any help.

About £30 per year, I found it quite helpful living in the south-east with the M25 car park nearby. At least it gave you some idea of the length of time you could be waiting in a traffic jam.

I use it. Whether its worth the £30 per year depends on the amount of driving you do on roads it covers.

Does it just pick up your location via gps and tell you of any traffic near you or can you ask it a specific location???

Do, it obtains data bursts from the road side traffic flow monitors (the blue things you see at the side of the road)

As M_DTM says, it picks up local info when to drive within about 150m from those blue masks (or motorway bridges), and gives you info of hold-ups.
Once you have passed 2, it knows your direction, and only gives you relevent info for your direction.
It only gives you info for around next 10m or 2 jncs in my experience.
You cannot get it to give info for other areas.

There is another benefit to subscribing to traffic master, one that i use a lot. You can use the web based real time traffic master service. Its great for getting a view of the problems on the road either before you set off, or to help other family or friends when they are travelling. Whilst it doesn't give all the info that the highway agency one does, it is great for a pictorial summary of traffic issues across the network.

I had it on my first omega back in 1997 - doing a lot of miles about 1000 a week - found it brilliant at the time for avoiding accidents, jams etc.
-
Sounds good, I certainly dont do enough mileage in a year to benifit. But £30 a year certainly isnt unrealistic.
Is there an anual charge on the Tomtom Traffic versions?
-
Works for me, spend most of my time either M25 or North or South Circular. If you think about your £30 a year works out to 8p a day makes even more sense.
The Web TM ones free if you go on the Vauxhall uk site.

What you need is a Traffic Master thats in Demo mode . . . . . . .
8-)
This is not a topic that can be debated on a public forum though
