Title: Omega 2003 takes 6 times for key fob to lock
Post by: gsyme on 22 May 2012, 21:39:39
Hi, replaced both front door central locking solenoids due to lazy locking (done at the garage not by me) and now it takes six times pressing key fob when buttons go up and down before everything is locked, maybe ecu but hopefully not! Any suggestions as to how to sort it out - the missus is getting a bit frustrated which is not good! 03 Omage CDX estate. Only thoughts are a reset of central locking, at least it locks now but takes six presses on the fob. Appreciate any and all advice.

Cheers,
Geoff

Try lubricating all the link rods in the door from the handles to the locking mechanism. It's something I'd have thought the garage that replaced your locking motors would've done. What happens if  you lock it with the key?  :-\  :y

Same result with the key, only thing to add is once I have got it locked I can lock and unlock as normal with the fob on a single press if I don’t start it up which sort of makes me think it's in the electrics somewhere, frustrated!
