as above the drivers seat belt is playing up, when i put it on its ok then when i move forward or what not it stays there and i cant get it back in (wont retracked) what can i do or is it a replacement job
-
I would just replace it. Should be easy enough to source from anyone who's breaking a car. Sounds like the spring that retracts it might be broken, or the reel is seizing up.
At the end of the day, no point in messing about with it. You might really rely on it working properly one day.

Reel & belt are one unit. Easy enough to do, one 21mm bolt at the bottom, other at the top under triangular cover. Will need to take the pillar trim also as belt runs through a metal guide fastened with 2 screws. Should take 15 minutes tops. What colour belt are you after

Im now after a black seat belt bud

many many yrs ago I dismantled an inertia reel belt to see if I could put a little more tension on the spring (mine wasn't reeling properly either)
I can confirm that the spring will fill a rear footwell when it escapes! ::) ::) ::)
