Does anybody have any thoughts on this...Elite 2003 3.2 on Ebay?][ftp] (ftp://[ftp)[/ftp]
-
Would it be this one?

Yes,thats the one...
-
"Unfortunately I did not receive any service history with the car"
If that doesn't put you off, it seams ok. Always go up in price at the end of auctions the 3.2 elites!!!!!
-
Buy it, service it, do the cambelt, how much in total? £1200 so far?
-
There are a few strange things about this one,
Doesn't look like its got the electric blind strange for a 3.2 elite
no elite badge on one of the doors ( crashed/damaged in passed ?? something to do with that dent? )
radio unit different colour looks odd ?...
No service history with that much mileage.
::)
Wouldn't risk any more than £800 my self without seeing it in the flesh....

You're right WRT the door badging - worth an ask...
IIRC they didn't fit the blind as standard to the last batch of Elites.
The radio, could simply be that the old one died - and has been replaced with one from a Vectra or similar, again worth asking.
The lack of service history is more intriguing - do VX hold details on a central computer, or is it dealer-specific?

Agreed . . I've looked at a few late 3.2 elites & it seems they were not standard as several did not have them
-
Blinds not fitted to MY2003 Elites.

I know it has finished now BUT look at the MOT history - 2 MOT's in 2009 a few days apart but 20K mileage difference.....Thought it may be a typo but the rest of the MOT history seems in step with the mileage after 2009.
Gut feeling on this one would be to keep on looking.
Darren.

and if you look at the dates ... the "earlier one" - 02/07/2009 has more miles, 93905, than the "later" one 06/07/2009, 73512 !!!!!! so in a week it "lost" 20,000 miles.
Now a replacement speedo might do that ..... but why MOT it twice in a week when it had just "passed with no advisories" ......
Very strange IMHO

And someone won the auction for £1,600 :o thats a bit much with allot of strange things about this Omega 3.2....
-
Yes,I agree.....Looked a bit dodgy....Someone paid way over the odds at £1600!
-
Paid good money for an average motor with lots of "concerns" IMO
