Really cheap...................as long as they do a pressure & leak test plus add dye and oil when re-charging
-
Sounds a bit on cheap side **IF** they do it properly.
-
Normal charge from an A/Con specialist is around £45 for vac leak test + refill correct weight refrigerant + dye + lubrication and correct functional check ;)
£35 seems either a bit cheap or a bargain if carried out correctly.
-
Includes testing for leaks plus oil.Latest machine.
So looks like a good deal!Mechanic said you run
the aircon a couple of times a month to oil the
seals,even in winter.
Seemed clued up.
-
Maybe a bargain then :)

I had my air con regassed today.
Cost £50
He sucked out the old refridgerant, pressure tested it, and then replaced with fresh refridgerant / oil /dye and went round checking the other components too.
He tightened up my valves saying that they sometimes work loose on Omega's.
This must be about the 6th time I've used this bloke and would highly recommend him.
He is part of the Cool Car Air Con franchise and covers my area.
He also did our I.T. Manager's Stype, so he did the pair of them for £45 at our place of work.
Thanks
Mike

As said already, that's a good price. That's what I paid 10 days ago at mate's rates ;)
-
OP said £35 + VAT, no one else has specified whether their prices are with or without VAT.
I had the a/c tested and recharged (with oil and dye) at a local, and long-established, vehicle electrics and a/c specialist last week, they also charged £35 + VAT.

Most garage prices are + VAT so I would assume that unless it was specified otherwise ;)

As I need pressure test tomorrow - will get mine regassed and dyed while car is in - £49 at VX dealer. Not been done for 4 or 5 years that I can remember. Sometimes at 20 degrees on climate control I get hot air from one vent and cold from other - if I drop temp to 18 then all seems ok.

29.99 at my local main dealer!!! booked for this weekend.

be sure....that sounds like the price for an aircon clean! ie chuck in an aircon deodorant can! not a full regas.
-
they did tell me it included the dye etc, the more expensive 79.99 was with extras like pollen filter replacement etc...
mmm. maybe i need to double check??
this is CMS in Kidderminster by the way, just incase anyone can confirm..
