My EML light came on yesterday, put the code reader on it this morning and have 2 codes, identical...
P0141 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit, Bank 1, Sensor 2
What does this mean please and what can I do to fix it?
TIA :)
-
sounds like either the heater element of the sensor or wiring to it is failing.
Its only a precat sensor so won't cause any running issues :y
-
Cheers James, is it just a case of replacement sensor then? ???

Nope, sensor 2 is after the cat ;)

But still it can most likely be a sensor full of crud either replace it or if leave it to soak in carb cleaner or brake cleaner over night but theres not guarentee it will cure it because as said it can be a wiring fault so easiest option is just replace it :y

Are the sensors expensive & which side is it? Drivers or pax?
-
Bank 1 = driver`s side

Cheers Rob, any ideas on price at all ;) :y

I would check the wiring down to the sensor carefully before condemning the sensor. It's not unheard of for it to get damaged.
Also, unplug the sensor and measure the resistance across the two sensor heater wires. They are usually around 12 ohms, if memory serves. Heater wires are the two white ones, I believe (or grey? - at any rate, it's the 2 wires from the sensor that are the same colour).
