Guys, was just wondering if anyone is local to me, Kidderminster, Worcester type area who would be able to assist me in fitting some sort of BT kit for my galaxy s2. I am complete NOVICE so would be most appreciative.
Oh its a 2000 2.2CD AUTO (If that matters)
Thank you :y

Is there a 4" aerial on roof?
-
yes mate there is.....? (why)??
-
Means its prewired, so there are leads available that make fitting some phone kits almost plug and play... ...almost...!
-
excellent! thanks mate, so whats next.....?
-
Choose a BT kit that has a compatible lead for Vauxhall prewiring. Somethings you have to run the mic.
Personally, I use Nokia CK-7W kits, as they are old, thus *VERY* cheap, and I really can't stand the modern crap with screens everywhere. *BUT* that Nokia kit assumes the phone has echo cancellation for handsfree in. Some handsets assume that the kit has echo cancellation in.
-
ok VERY cheap is also good for me!! what do i need to make sure is in this nokia kit? as i will now buy one from ebay...
-
I have the Nokia CK-7W fitted to my elite and is perfect. My mobile pairs easily and cuts the radio/cd off when a call is made and received :y
-
If you have the kit do you just need to change the cradle to suit your phone?
-
I don't have a cradle on mine.... Just a standard mobile holder, turn the Nokiia kit on, turn bluetooth on the phone on.....job done :y
-
If you want inter-changeable cradles (that charge) then you need to look at Bury kits. All of ours now run this kits as CK-7W's have echo problems on a lot of phones.
-
I don't know anything about how these kits work etc, but been reading recently about the echo problem these Nokia's can suffer from. I've been using HTC phones, Desire, Desire HD, Sensation XL etc and luckily I've not had a single problem with my kit.
Clear, sharp and spot on :y

HTC's junk traditionally used to suffer from echos. Only other party hears it.
If you want an Android, you buy a Samsung, if you want a 'just works' phone for girls and gays, Apple, or a phone that is superb at being a phone, Nokia 6310i
HTC have no place in this world.

Ouch TB :o
I take it you don't like HTC then? ;D ;D ;D
Each to their own, but I've enjoyed having them though :y

I've had enough of them myself, the specs are always great, but the reality of the product is always, without fail, somewhere between disappointting to utterly useless. It was 3-4years of 4 HTC handsets that eventually drove me to the gayPhone.
-
Bugger, sounds like you had a bad time with them :(
I must be one of the lucky one's then :o
-
OK so does anyone here have one for sale?? Or can you tell me exactly what I need to be certain it will work??
