Title: Anyone after a new High Airbed?
Post by: Jimbob on 02 June 2012, 12:56:54
Makro for Intex 18" high airbeds for £27 plus vat

Bloody good price from what I can see.

a few inches higher would be nice......but not at double the price!

Did not realise they were that high, guess my footpump could get a bit tired pumping that lot up.

Queen is poor, my feet stick miles out  ;D

tis large...up in the living room at the mo....on hindsight wanting the 22" high version may have been overkill!

nice quality, self inflating bed at a good price :y

and hopefully, will allow us to camp this year

Oh I'm thinking of a double, queen is same length just not as wide as king?

Think i'd get one of those big airbeds at some point, if I go camping with MrsT

I think you should bring Geoff to the Lakes. And certainly Newent.  Mrs TB and the other girls will lead her astray during the day, so you can play with the boys...

I think so...

Was the pump in yours ok in the end, or did you need to replace it

Not sure if it will be the same for Laura, but I actually sleep better on our one than in our bed ;D Although that may have something to do with me normally having quite a few drinks before getting on the air bed :-X ::)

In all seriousness, I inflate ours to quite a firm state and do find it more comfortable than our bed at home... I actually threatened to use it permanently ::) but that wasn't taken very well :D

Can't remember which one had that problem TBH, as we've had to replace ours recently - my top tip is put a blanket down first as a sheet, to stop the sleeping bag zip tag digging in and puncturing it ::)

Yup, find mine comfy as well, better than my bed!

I have found, however, like all airbeds, if you frequently overinflate, it seems not to hold air so well, and you have to pump up every night.

Now I'm a hardened druggy, I'll have to try it. My insomnia has been really bad since the smash :(

DO NOT mix Tramadol and alcohol... I spent about 36 hours feeling very unwell :-[ :'(

I've not worried so much with the others and haven't had the same side effects but wouldn't advise it ;)
