Can I go in Bus lanes, I've got hold of 5 new 5 series, and they've all got valid PCO licences, and there's nothing I'd like more than to use a bus lane :y.
-
would that be saloons or estates ;D :D
if you are going to get a 5 series you may as well have 5 :o
and a 7 :) 8) :y

At the risk of embarrassing myself On behalf of other members, what is a PCO Licence?........... :) :)

Mini Cab..... :y :y I used to do that out of Cuffley, Herts, in the early 90's to earn some extra money, no registration and no licencing in those days............get Private Hire insurance, link up with a company, pay your radio rent and off you go...... :D :D :D
-
all changed around 2003 i think...now the car has to be mot'd every 6 months and pco tested every 12 months..all drivers have to have a pco license costs em a couple of hundred a year..they've killed the game in favour of black cabs

Shame as not everyone wants to use a black cab, and not so many in the outskirts, I ran a Rover 827 so used to do some executive work as well, I could earn more on a Fri and Sat night than i did in my Day Job........ :D :D :D
-
you want to see all the unlicensed cars that are outside events blagging people without insurance without license..pco aren't interested in that they prefer to try and trap minicabs for plying for hire

That does not surprise me, there used to be a club in the middle of nowhere, Cuffley / Bayford way that I would go and pick up pre-booked people, it was quite close to where I lived, on a job the 'bouncers' often asked me to come back as people could get stranded....It never ceased to amaze me how easy it was to pick up people at night, with an Ariel on I would often get flagged down on my way home............I can understand why some organisation is needed, but I would bet little has really changed...........any group only want to get home..... :D :D

car needs to be MOT every year no different too normal car...you have to prove the vehicle is insured for hire and reward every 6 month and if they deem it nessacary the vehicle will have to be tested (so if you turn up in a shed you will be tested) and my pco lasted 3 years as mine has just lapsed(i used to help out a friend who used to run a fleet of limos)...and boris has just increased the price of a PCO license to £300...tbh if you have not got a crimnal record and you are fit you should be able to obtain license.... :y

They'll get to beaten up to be honest, I've got many more coming. London cabs just get bashed and banged about terribly. They're good though, all under 10k miles and all have 5 years free servicing which'd be ideal for a cabby firm. There supposed to be going to a hotel chain though.

Let's hope for sun, it's odd because you're not asking rediculous money. Anyway, I'll PM you later today or tomorrow for a little chin wag about it :y.
