Imho, low mileage engines do not always equal a "good" engine ::)

Mines is a little tired, but rather than take the time to take it out and refurb it... id rather have a spare there to rebuild and just swap them, and I want to fettle a bit with it also  :y

To fair away to post an engine, do have a great pair of 3.0 heads covered 100k
In the family we have
3.0 165k rebuilt top at 150 now flys
3.2 192k
3.2 158k all pull well
just go on and on...

One of the best 3.0l I've driven is my very own MV6 with 188k on.  Although she does burn a little oil now - cant always get between oil services without a top up :'(

Dont get me wrong, im not doubting high milers at all (and looking at it there arent going to be many 3.0's about with lower mileage anymore), but id just rather have a base to start with that has generally less wear overall. Not sure to what spec im building it upto yet...or even if i can retrofit the 3.2 in there with 3.0 bits?

Very true.. price is always an issue, as I know what the likes of a Z20LET and the LS V8's cost... so with more bang straight out of the box it could be more cost efficent to do that for few extra horses lol

As per title... just putting the feelers out i guess... are there any lower mileage engines still out there?  :y

I have an x30xe with 83000 miles under its belt currently residing in an elite estate that has sat idle for a couple of years due to a gearbox fault. £250 for the car?
