Delivery mode?
-
If not in delivery mode, its a housebrick
-
hmmm it actually believe it or not came from a police car which had no headunit fitted and it turned on and worked well, told you range and had vauxhall griffin when ignition switched on, not sure what the delivery mode is?

How did you control it with no Headunit?
-
couldnt change menu options, seems its never done that as the police had wrecked the headunit apeture and so doubt it ever had the correct headunit in there. It just showed griffin in red with black background when you switched ignition on and then screen when white background and range was shown. Just wondering if it was able to do this was it in delivery mode?

With no "paired" HU as TB says (http://www.israellycool.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/brick-large.jpg)

Only way to tell is hook it up to a Tech2
-
could it not be paired again with tech 2? A friend works in vauxhall and could get him to 'borrow it'

If its not been depaired from the original headunit, no.
(not entirely true, as there is a convoluted way **IF** you know the original pairing code, and have enough equipment).

lol sounds like alot of effort, il try it in a mates elite tommorow and see what happens or doesnt as the case may well be....

OK, you need to depair his HU/CD from his display, then attempt to pair your colour screen to his HU.
-
Your mates hu will be paired to his display. No other display will work, unless depaired first with code, then repaired to the colour one. Only tech 2 can do this. That is the security of this particular system.
If the current hu is not flashing up safe mode every 30 seconds or so currently, am I right in saying it s not in safe mode. Therefore useless without security code and a lot of buggering about...? :-\
